HALO Rings CAFT

The H.A.L.O. Rings.

The H.A L.O. Rings are an artifact featured in Charlie's Angels: Full Throttle. They contain the names of people in the Witness Protection Program.

Description[]

H.A.L.O. (short for Hidden Alias List Operation) is a special part of the Witness Protection Program which protects the identities of people who testify against major crime gangs, like the O'Grady family. All of their names are featured on a small pair of titanium rings, which are indecipherable on their own, but their codes unlock each other when paired together. For security, each ring is worn separately by two individual members of the U.S. Government: Ray Carter (head of the U.S. Marshal Service) and William Rose Bailey (Justice Department Head of Security).

On orders from Madison Lee, Ray Carter is kidnapped and kept captive in a Mongolian bar, where his ring is stolen by Mongolian forces. The Angels rescue him, but they are unsuccessful in obtaining the ring. To make matters worse, the other ring is seized by Madison when she holds William Rose Bailey at gunpoint and murders him. She then contacts 4 major crime families (the O'Grady Clan, the Antonioni Crime Family, the Diablo Cartel, and the Tanaka Yukusa) and offers to sell the data on the rings to the highest bidder.

The rings are subsequently kept hidden a shady bar called the Treasure Chest in San Pedro, but they're later retrieved by the Angels who take down the guards and barely escape Seamus O'Grady. After they head back to the Townsend Agency, they return the rings to Carter, but they discover that Carter is working with Madison and staged his kidnapping after they find out he was faking a rib injury. Carter makes a rendezvous with Madison at the Griffith Observatory with the Angels in tow, but Madison kills him and prepares to take the rings for herself. The Angels try to stop her, but she guns them down relentlessly and leaves the scene with the rings in her possession.

With the buyers set, Madison arranges a meeting atop of one of the buildings at the Hollywood Walk of Fame for the lists on the rings to be sold, but the Angels (who survived through the use of Kevlar vests) use the Kleinhardt gambit to arrange for the crime mobs to head to a different rooftop, where they're all arrested by the FBI (except Seamus and the O'Grady's, who saw through their plan). After a fight and a car chase which results in the deaths of Seamus and Madison, the rings are retrieved by Natalie, and they're successfully returned to the U.S. Government.
